Life will never be the same with the “new normal”. So having both positive and negative connotations, lets call it a “new beginning”.
“Beginning” suggests that changes are needed, but positively. Starting the new-year with a big dose of gratitude for the well being in 2020 is a part of the picture.
While this pandemic showed us different shades of life, it also showed us how to value our lives and be grateful for one every single day. The pandemic has been for all of us an opportunity to look upon as human beings. So what if we paused to appreciate the opportunities we’ve been granted to spend more time together?
Gratitude being a thankful appreciation, whether tangible or intangible, acknowledges the goodness in people’s lives. It also helps connecting people to something larger than themselves as individuals, be it to other human beings, environment or our warriors. Lets take time to be grateful for what we have gained amidst the pandemic, instead of focusing on the negativity.
We all have the strength to stick together at times and lets make kindness our priority. Its time we appreciate that we have been bestowed with a gift called “life”.

Everything doesn’t have to be perfect in life for us to be happy and to appreciate everything around us. We just have to be grateful. The best life lesson is learned during hard times and when we make mistakes.
Everything can end tomorrow. We need to focus on what is important to us. When all this is over, life will flow beautifully again. But the question is by then will we have learned our lessons.
It is under extreme crisis, we gain the most by gratefulness. Gratitude has the power to energize, to heal and to bring hope.
Thinking of difficult times we had and how far we have come, sets up an explicit contrast that is fertile ground for gratefulness. Contrasting the present with the negative times in the past can make us feel happier and enhance our overall sense of well-being.
“Gratitude changes the pangs of memory into a tranquil joy”, said the German theologian and Lutheran pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, which means Gratitude maximizes happiness in multiple ways including reframing memories of unpleasant events.
