Entrepreneurship Development is gradually becoming very significant in various areas of economic development.
Innovative start-ups and new enterprises act as a catalyst for the economy. Novel opportunities and market gaps are identified and resources are allocated to them to produce something new and useful. The need of the hour is to develop the youth with innovative and creative ideas to cater to the new challenges and technology.
JBM Global School one of the best schools on Noida Expressway organized a workshop on “Entrepreneurship and Creative Innovation” on 24 December 2021 from 10:30-11:20am for class IX- XII in the school auditorium. This workshop was an endeavour to imbibe the basic and advanced approaches of entrepreneurship and creative innovation. Mr. Simon Banerjee was the guest speaker. He is an entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in the gaming field, Ex Director at EA Games and Ex Head of studio at GSN Games. Currently he is the co-founder of Xansr Technologies Company and handles the Temple Run 1 and 2 franchise. He is associated with the education field and is a guest lecturer at NID. He has hired 200+ people from IITs, IIMs, NITs, Fine art colleges over the years.

Having apprised the students about the Gaming industry, as an amalgamation of arts, science and commerce and an overview of how all these three verticals converge, he emphasized that is no substitute to hard work. It’s not just doing the work but enjoying and standing up to the mark.
He also discussed different aspects of entrepreneurship such as Legacy: Service vs Product, New narrative: Client vs User, When is the right time: Fresh out of University vs Industry experience, Right composition: What to look for in partners. The success mantra that was one of the best takeaways for the students was not to fear failures, but fail small, fail early.
His concepts on the perfect segue to Gaming alongwith World of Gaming was the show stealer which elaborated the perfect convergence of Art, Science and Commerce to the students.
With a plethora of various ideas, massive inter-discipline movements and examples of hybrid roles were shared with the students.
Students were acquainted with the center of innovation which can come from Art, Tech, Design or Business by making the best use of advancement in tools, how an artist can develop a game and a programmer can use ready-made art.

There were Motivational topics inspiring the participants to be Jack of all trades, master of one and how to make deconstruction of fun, consume media, enjoy the ‘WHAT’, but focus on the ‘WHY’ and ‘HOW’.
Students were familiarized with a strong foundation, work ethics,dedication as important factors to pursue their dreams and passion along with the underlying importance of a strong alumni network!
The discourse further turned this workshop into a great informative and enlightening session.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by the principal, Dr. Upma Arora. Dr. Arora shared her thoughts, encouraged the students for their future events and kindled the spirit of zeal and to become the trailblazers.
