JBM Global School, Noida announced the “Aahwan Shooting Interschool Competition” which promised to be a thrilling showcase of young talent in the sport of shooting. The competition took place at the esteemed institution on September 26th and 27th 2023-24.
It brought together budding marksmen and markswomen from schools across the region. The event was divided into three categories: U-12, U-14, and U-18, ensuring that students of various age groups have the opportunity to showcase their shooting prowess.
Participants competed in both 10 MTR Air Pistol and Air Rifle events, following the stringent rules and regulations laid down by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). This adherence to ISSF standards not only ensures a fair and competitive environment but also prepares young shooters for international competitions.
U-12 Air Rifle Open Sight (Boys) Arnav Bhoomia of JBM Global School won a gold medal and Devansh Chaudhary of BLS World School won a silver medal. U-12 Air Rifle Peep Sight (Sitting) Girls Saanvi Singh of BLS World School won a gold medal and U-12 Air Rifle Peep Sight (Sitting) Boys Shreyansh Sarkar of Aster Public School won a gold medal. U-16 Air Rifle Open sight (Boys) Anik Rajput of BLS World School won a gold medal, Anadi Tyagi of JBM Global School got a silver medal and Vinay Singh of BLS World School got a Bronze medal.U-16 Air Rifle Oen Sight (Girls) Priyanshi Tiwari of BLS World School got a gold medal and Aradhya Chauhan of BLS World School got silver medal.U-16 Air Rifle Peep Sight (Girls) Navya Sharma of BLS World School got gold medal and Devanshi Rajput of BLS World School scored got silver medal.
U-12 Mixed Team (Sitting) Mayoor School got a gold medal, U-12 Mixed Team (Standing) Mayoor School got a gold medal, U-18 Boys Team, JBM Global School got a gold medal and BLS World School got the silver medal U-18 Boys.
U-12 Sitting (Boys) – Pistol, Dhananjay Nehra of Fortune World School got a gold medal, Ved Sinha of The Khaitan School got a silver medal, Krishna Chauhan of JBM Global School got a bronze medal. U-12 Sitting (Girls) – Pistol, Saara Shrivastav of Genesis School got a gold medal, Anaiya Ghai of Genesis School got a silver medal, Namrata Arya of Indirapuram school got bronze medal.U-12 Standing (Boys)- Pistol Aksh Chaudhary of Vidya Bal Bhawan got gold medal, Krishna Chauhan of JBM Global School got silver medal and Laksh Bhardwaj from DAV, Sahibabad got bronze medal. U-12 Standing (Girls)- Pistol Anaiya Ghai of Genesis School got a gold medal, Aarna Tomar of JBM Global School got a silver medal and Saara Shrivastav of Genesis School got a bronze medal.
U-16 Boys(Pistol) Dev Pratap, Arnav Agarwal and Aarav Awana of JBM Global School got gold, Silver and Bronze medals. U-16 Girls (Pistol) Tanishka Singh of Vidya Bal Bhawan got a gold medal, Parisha Gupta of Genesis School got a silver medal and Saanvi Gaur of Mayoor School got a bronze medal.
U-18 Boys (Pistol) Dev Pratap Singh, Arnav Agarwal and Aarav Awana of JBM Global School got gold, silver and bronze medals. U-18 Girls (Pistol) Anushka Gandhi, Vanshika Chaudhary and Swarnima Singh of Genesis School got gold, silver and bronze medals. The event brought together talented young marksmen and markswomen from various schools, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie. The adherence to stringent ISSF rules and regulations ensured that the competition was fair and served as a valuable learning experience for the budding shooters.
