As a part of art integration, students of class VIII made a model of the pattern of stars known as Big Dipper. In Hindu astronomy, the Big Dipper is known as Saptarishi Mandal which means “collection of seven stars” or “collection of seven great sages”. The students also pointed the locations of Ursa Major and Polaris. From the story of Saptarishis, the students learnt how the seven great sages attained heaven by sacrificing and became a part of the constellation.
