Bhangra, a folk dance is traditionally danced to the dholinstrument, a large drum and beats, and lyrics that describe scenes from Punjab. The lyrics refer to different themes like patriotism, strength, and celebration.
The main motive of tapping feet on the Bhangra beat was to make the students of class V-VIII aware that it has set steps and there is a proper way to do every step. While doing the Bhangra, students realized that Bhangra is actually hard on the body with the amount of squats and jumps that need to be done with every beat. Although the session was for one week, but regular practice can make one attain perfection.
Performing Bhangra on every beat, made the students relieve their stress being an excellent stress buster. Not just fun, Bhangra also has health benefits of a cardio workout as it helps to burn calories, enhances heart function, and increases stamina.
