National Mathematics Day 2021

Mathematics day was celebrated on 22nd December 2021 to mark the birth anniversary of our great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan in JBM Global School recognized as one of the best schools near sector 137 Noida. Different activities and competitions were conducted by the Maths Department. Classes VI to IX participated in different activities. Students of Grade VI actively participated in Rangometry group activity. They made different Rangoli designs with geometrical shapes. They were very curious and eager to do the activity and also learnt that geometrical shapes can be used in making rangoli also.
Students of class VII A and B enthusiastically participated in Tangram activity. They made cat, boat, swan, kite, house etc by using this tangram puzzle.
Students of class VIII A and B participated in Sudoku puzzle game. They used their analytical mind to solve that puzzle. They enjoyed the mind game.

Students of class IX A and B participated in Quiz Competition. There were two rounds. First was the qualifier round. Seventeen teams with two participants in each team participated in the quiz.10 teams were selected for final round on the basis of their speed and accuracy. Top two teams got equal scores in the final round. Students of each class also decorated their class bulletin boards with Mathematics theme. Children not only participated in the activities with great zeal and enthusiasm but also learnt the techniques to apply the knowledge of the subject in a variety of contexts.
