Gurpurab is one of the biggest festivals of Sikhs. The birthday of Guru Nanak Dev is celebrated as Gurpurab. It is celebrated in the month of Kartik on the day of the full moon known as Kartik Purnima Guru Nanak Dev Ji was born on 15th April 1469 in Rai-Bhoi-di Talwandi in the present Shekhupura District of Pakistan which is now known as Nankana Sahib. Guru Nanak Dev was the founder and first Guru of the Sikh religion. And hence the Guru Nanak Gurpurab or his birth anniversary is celebrated every year is the Gurpurab, by Sikhs all over the world.
